Youth News

So I have been here for just about a year, and I though this would be a good time to put down some of my observations.  I would like to reflect on my time here, and I hope it will be a chance for you all to reflect on this church family and hour our time together is shaped.

  • This is an extremely kind church.  The kids are mostly supportive and nice to one another.  The adults are supportive and fun, always willing to help and tell a joke.  This is a great attribute for a church to have.  I am excited to see this kindness shared with more kids, more adults--more families.
  • This is a hard-working church.  I have worked with the church on apple butter, the yard sale, the sanctuary renovation, the youth room renovation, and many other smaller projects.  There are a lot of people who are willing to do hard work.  One of my prayers for this year is that we can learn to direct our efforts towards the purposes that God puts before us
  • This church loves to sing.  Now this one is a little tough for me because I am not a singer or a musician, but I can respect the talent our people have and the hard work they put in.  This is an attribute that can really be used to help new people feel at home and get excited during worship.
I suppose I could gon and on but this list enough to get me reminiscing about the year.  I know that family's first year here has been great and one of my biggest hopes is that more families can experience the Kingdom of God.  In order for this to happen we need to take the gifts that God has given us (personally and as a church) and share them wit hthe people around us.  I hear you ask, "How do we share?"  Well, I leave that question to our prayer life and for a different newsletter.  Have a great month.
